Zero construction board

Zero construction board is made from Finnish, bio-based raw materials. Thanks to its versatility and durability, Zero can be used in the same applications as conventional construction boards.

Zero construction board is a new addition to the Zero product family. In Zero boards, the fossil-based binder has been replaced with a renewable, wood-based binder, lignin. The wood raw material used in Zero boards is from side streams of Koskisen’s own manufacturing processes.

Compared to non-renewable materials, wood-based materials have lower carbon dioxide emissions. In addition, they store carbon for decades.

Zero boards can be sawn, drilled and milled using all standard tools suitable for wood processing. A high-quality and clean construction board is easy to work with and helps keep cutting tools in good condition. Well-maintained blades cut more efficiently and contribute to lower equipment maintenance costs.

Zero construction board is available as both floor and wall panels. The pre-profiled T&G edges of ZeroFloor speed up installation, while its uniform structure provides a strong and even base for flooring materials such as parquet or laminate. The strength and dimensional stability of ZeroFloor remain consistent in all directions, with minimal movement, making it a durable and reliable solution. Its structure improves comfort and enhances floor performance. ZeroFloor is available in EN 312 P6 grade for dry conditions and offers excellent strength and stiffness properties.

ZeroWall (P1) is a versatile and strong chipboard for wall and ceiling applications in interior spaces. Its structure provides good sound insulation and offers a reliable fixing base even for heavier loads. Zero construction panels can be installed using screws or adhesive.

Zero construction board is also available as a floor heating board. ZeroTherm is an uncoated, pre‑grooved and tongued chipboard that enables fast and easy installation of water‑based underfloor heating systems in timber ground and intermediate floors.
