Policies and principles

This page contains the policies and principles followed within the Koskisen Group.

Koskisen operates in compliance with laws and regulations and is politically independent. Ethical business conduct is the foundation of Koskisen’s operations and part of everyday practice. Fair practices are described in more detail in the Group’s Code of Conduct. Business partners, such as contractors and suppliers, are required to commit to the Supplier Code of Conduct.

When reviewing material topics, no significant issues related to unethical practices—such as anti-corruption and anti-bribery measures, or the treatment of goods and service providers—have been identified. This is because most of the operations are positioned close to the beginning of the value chain, and the main raw material, wood, is sourced mainly from Finland through the company’s own procurement.

The Operating Policy brings together Koskisen’s management principles, which guide all Group activities. It is complemented by separate policies and principles that describe the commitments in more detail. The environmental and human resources principles derived from the Operational Policy define more specific guidelines, which also take into account the material sustainability related topics identified.
