Koskisen recognizes the importance of its own workforce in terms of working conditions, safety, wellbeing, and competence. The aim is to ensure healthy, safe, and fair working conditions, as well as to support employee wellbeing and professional development.

Occupational safety is managed actively in line with the ISO 45001 certified management system, with a target of zero accidents. Key indicators, such as the LTA1 accident frequency rate, are monitored and improved annually. Access to occupational healthcare, training, and active observation practices support safety and help prevent risks.

Koskisen is one of the largest employers in the Päijät-Häme region, with significant local impacts on employment and vitality. A committed and well-supported workforce also strengthens the stability and predictability of operations. Koskisen has defined objectives concerning its own workforce in its responsibility program and reports on their implementation in the annual report published as part of the financial statement.
