Sanna Väisänen (M.A.) has been appointed as Koskisen’s Director of Sustainability and Communications and a member of the Executive Board effective 1 September 2022. She will report to CEO Jukka Pahta.
Sanna joins Koskisen from the Finnish food industry company Apetit, where she is Director of Corporate Communications and Sustainability. She has an extensive background in corporate communications and sustainability in an international operating environment.
As of 1 September, Sanna will head Koskisen’s sustainability matters and external communications.
Koskisen’s current Director of HR and Communications, Minna Luomalahti, will be in charge of HR matters and internal communications as a member of Koskisen’s Executive Board as of 1 September.
“Going forward, we will have better resources to tackle both sustainability and HR matters, both of which continue to play a central role in our strategy. Sanna brings considerable experience in both sustainability and communications, while Minna will be able to focus on developing the work community. I welcome Sanna to Koskisen and to take us to a new level in sustainability matters,” says Pahta.
“I am delighted at the opportunity to promote sustainability and corporate responsibility and, in turn, sustainable operations at Koskisen. Sustainability is already strongly present in all of the company’s operations, and at the same time, the industry as a whole plays an important role in resolving global climate challenges. In addition, the company’s Finnish roots and strong traditions are important values for me,” says Väisänen.
