Koskisen’s Arkki interior plywood panel is made from Finnish birch plywood, and its genuine wood surface is a striking material in many interiors. Each Arkki interior plywood panel sheet is a unique piece, on which nature has left its fingerprint. Arkki gives any space a natural atmosphere and warmth.
Arkki is an easy-to-use and ready-made interior product that allows you to create impressive wall and ceiling surfaces for both home and public areas. Arkki interior plywood panel is intended for indoor use in dry spaces.
Coated Arkki is a response to customer wishes
As a result of seamless cooperation between product development and sales, Koskisen launched a coated version of Arkki on the market in the autumn of 2024. Arkki interior plywood is coloured with a translucent water-based RAL colour and coated with a wear-resistant, transparent melamine film. This allows the wood grain pattern and other natural properties to be beautifully displayed on the panel surface. The same versatile basic and special colours are available as with KoskiDecor Eco Transparent:

“Ready-to-install Arkki has been a popular product among our customers. The product enables unique results for each object, as your imagination is the only limit when treating the board’s surface. We have heard from our customers that they have varnished and painted the panels themselves or treated them with various wood waxes,” says Product Manager Eemi Valjakka.
Arkki panel is easy and quick to install
Arkki is a tongue-and-groove cut-to-size interior panel, which makes installation quick and easy. In addition, Arkki interior plywood can be installed with standard hand tools. The four-millimetre seam left between the boards gives the finished surface a striking and sturdy visual appearance.
The natural life of the wood is already taken into account in the tongue and groove, and therefore there is no need to take a separate room for movement into account when installing. Plywood can be arranged with the seams aligned or overlapping, either horizontally or vertically.
Plywood is a carbon store
Did you know that plywood is a carbon store, and the carbon contained in the wood will remain in the board during its entire service life? Carbon is released if the board is disposed of, for example, by burning or composting. Plywood binds carbon for a significantly longer period compared to short-cycle wood-based products, such as paper and cardboard. The total carbon footprint of the wood products manufactured by Koskisen is considerably greater than their emissions. In 2023, they bound a total of 381 701 tCO2e of carbon.
Koskisen plywood is made from thin cross-glued veneers. Plywood contains approximately 93% wood and just under 7% of the dry matter from the adhesive mixture.
