The implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) has been further delayed, and the regulation will start applying to large and medium-sized companies from 30 December 2026 onwards. In the future, only companies that place the relevant product on the EU market for the first time will be responsible for providing a due diligence statement.
Koskisen Corporation is aware that when placing products on the market, it must be demonstrated that their production chain does not involve deforestation or forest degradation as defined by the regulation. In practice, this is verified through due diligence systems described by companies, as well as reference numbers accompanying the raw material or product, which are generated via the EU’s TRACES system.
Koskisen’s operations do not cause deforestation or forest degradation as defined by the regulation. The raw material used in the company’s products originates from deforestation-free areas, and the products already comply with the regulation’s requirements. Koskisen is currently preparing its due diligence systems and engaging in dialogue with stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition to the new regulatory framework. Although reference numbers cannot yet be provided, this does not affect the legality of the products.
